About the UCEED B.Des mock tests

UCEED rewards speed and accuracy in Part A and clear thinking on paper in Part B. Our UCEED mock tests copy the official pattern exactly — the same three question types, the same negative and partial marking, and the same two-hour/one-hour split — so exam day feels familiar.

UCEED 2027 is on Sunday, 17 January 2027, 9:00 am – 12:00 noon. Source: UCEED 2027 information brochure, IIT Bombay. Always confirm dates on the official website.

What every mock includes

  • Part A, 2 hours: 14 numerical, 15 multiple-select and 28 multiple-choice questions with UCEED's exact marking
  • Part B, 1 hour: sketching and design aptitude, 50 marks each
  • Pencil-only drawing, photographed and uploaded for mentor marking
UCEED exam guide: eligibility, colleges and syllabus →

How to use UCEED mocks well

  • Attempt every NAT question: there's no negative marking, and they're often counting or calculation questions you can verify.
  • In MSQ, tick only the options you're sure of. Partial marks reward each correct option, but one wrong tick costs −1.
  • MCQs cost −0.71 for a wrong answer: guess only when you can rule out at least two options.
  • Plan Part B before you draw: about 25 minutes for the sketch, 30 for the design question, and a few minutes to label clearly.

UCEED mock test: questions

Is there negative marking in UCEED?

Yes, in Part A. A wrong MCQ costs 0.71 marks and an MSQ with any wrong option costs 1 mark. NAT questions have no negative marking, and Part B has none. Our UCEED mock tests use exactly this marking.

How many questions are in UCEED Part A?

57 questions worth 200 marks in 2 hours: 14 numerical-answer (NAT), 15 multiple-select (MSQ) and 28 multiple-choice (MCQ). Part B has 2 drawing questions worth 100 marks in 1 hour.

Is a calculator allowed in UCEED?

No. Practise working without one — our mocks give you a number keypad for NAT answers, like the exam, but no calculator.

Is Mock Test 1 really free?

Yes. Fill in a short form and Mock 1 of any series opens straight away, timed and marked like the paid tests. Objective questions are marked instantly, and a TDH mentor reviews up to 2 of your drawing answers. In the full series, every drawing is marked.

Can I get personal guidance on my mock tests?

Yes. Connect with our counsellors to book a one-on-one session with a TDH mentor, for example to go through your answers, your drawings and your plan for the next few weeks. Mentor sessions are paid and booked separately from the mock test series.

What do I get in the full series?

10 full-length mock tests on the latest pattern of your exam, instant scores with section-wise and topic-wise reports, explanations for every objective question, and your drawing answers marked by a TDH mentor with written feedback. ₹799 at launch (MRP ₹999).

How do the drawing questions work online?

Just like the real exam, you draw on paper during the test. When time is up you get 20 extra minutes to photograph your sheets and upload them. A TDH mentor marks them against the criteria in the question and emails you the marks and feedback.

What if my internet drops or the page closes?

Your answers save automatically every few seconds, and the timer runs on our server. Reopen the test on any device and you'll continue where you left off, with the time that's left.

Can I take the tests on a phone?

Yes, the test screen works on phones, but a laptop or tablet is closer to the real computer-based exams. Keep your phone handy to photograph drawing answers.

When are new tests released?

New mocks are added through the season, each one checked by our mentors before release. Your series page shows which tests are open and which are coming next.

How do I open my tests on another device?

Use 'Sign in' on the mock tests page with the email you used to pay. We'll email you a link that signs you in on that device.
